Seth Rollins Storyline Sparks Backstage Turmoil Within WWE

Not all is well backstage on WWE RAW.

The atmosphere of discontent involves Seth Rollins, who arguably pulled off the biggest heist in the company’s history at SummerSlam.

Rollins was reported to have been injured after his Saturday Night’s Main Event XL match against LA Knight, set to miss months of wrestling action.

At SummerSlam, CM Punk challenged Gunther for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, and in a surprise twist of events, defeated The Ring General.

This was Punk’s first major title win in the Stamford promotion in eleven years.

As he celebrated with the audience, Seth Rollins’ music hit, and he came out on crutches with The Oracle, Paul Heyman.

He then threw away his support sticks, revealing that his injury had been a ruse all along. Rollins successfully cashed in his Money in the Bank contract on a worn-out and battered CM Punk, cutting short his celebrations.

Backstage Turmoil In WWE About Seth Rollins’ Deception

A few days after Seth Rollins was reported to be injured at SNME, reports emerged that it was a work.

Fans at MetLife Stadium were on their feet and sang to Rollins’ music, and cheered him after his victory over the newly-crowned champion CM Punk.

However, the atmosphere backstage was different.

PWInsider reports that the situation had left a bad taste in the mouths of many people, including the staff and wrestlers.

Seth Rollins’ wife and women’s Intercontinental Champion Becky Lynch was in on the ruse, too.

Meanwhile, Rollins has been forced to face the music for his deceit, with RAW GM Adam Pearce seen putting him in disadvantageous situations.

On the August 11 episode of RAW, Pearce announced that Rollins would defend his title at Clash in Paris against LA Knight, Jey Uso, and CM Punk.
