Triple H Has No Plans For Major Female WWE Star
Triple H’s creative team may be failing yet another WWE talent.
Over the last year, multiple reports have emerged stating that a wrestler or a faction has been taken off television due to lacking creative direction.
Some of the popular names to suffer its brunt included The New Day, Aleister Black, Otis, and Akira Tozawa. Even the 14-time WWE Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair had revealed that there were no creative plans for her following her loss to Tiffany Stratton at WrestleMania 41.
While The New Day and Aleister Black have departed the promotion, Otis and Tozawa may return to regular television to feud with The Vision. Flair, meanwhile, has retained her permanent spot on SmackDown in her tag team title pursuit along with Alexa Bliss.
The newest addition that has fallen victim to Triple H’s lack of creative direction is Jordynne Grace.
This update was shared by Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful during an appearance on The Hump, who further claimed that her Main Event appearances had declined.
She’s there. She’s at TV sometimes. They have no vision for her. No idea what to do with her. They’re wasting time with her.
I mean, she’s only 30, but like she hasn’t been on Main Event in like a month either. Just nothing. [H/T: Ringside News]
Grace debuted on the main roster from NXT at the turn of the new year and was immediately entered into a feud with then-Women’s Champion Jade Cargill.
The 30-year-old even earned a title shot against Cargill on the February 13 edition of SmackDown. Unfortunately, in early March, she sustained a legitimate injury, needing time to rehabilitate.
She returned a month later and won her match on WWE Main Event against Zelina Vega. Since then, she has competed in one dark match on SmackDown, which ended in a loss to Blake Monroe.
Triple H’s Leadership Sees Growing Backstage Frustration In WWE
Apparently, lack of creative direction is not the only problem that the WWE talent is facing under Triple H.
A report shared by WRKD Wrestling claimed that there was ‘growing’ frustration backstage among the company’s talents, especially when it came to the men’s tag team title scene.
It claimed that while the current champions R-Truth and Damian Priest were cherished, there has been disappointment with the small number of challengers, which has resulted in a lack of variety.
A few months ago, the men’s tag division on the blue brand had some of the hottest representations with the likes of Fraxiom, Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano (DIY), Motor City Machine Guns, The MFTs, etc., all vying for the title, then held by The Wyatt Sicks.
Following WrestleMania 42, many of these names were let go by WWE, leaving a huge void to be filled.
Be it Jordynne Grace or the men’s tag division, Triple H and his creative team need to find answers to make them relevant again.
