A major AEW talent is no longer listed on the company’s roster page.

The action from the Jacksonville promotion comes after a vignette featuring Big Bill was played on the July 13 edition of WWE Raw, confirming his return.

His first stint as a wrestler was with the Stamford-based company, where he made his NXT debut in June 2013 before forming a heel team with Enzo Amore.

Calling themselves “the realest guys in the room,” the duo feuded with other teams. In 2016, they made their main roster debuts on Raw against the Dudley Boyz.

On the Raw episode following the 2017 Extreme Rules pay-per-view, Amore was attacked backstage, although the identity of the person was not immediately divulged.

Bill, who performed in the company as Big Cass, was revealed as the attacker, thus ending their association.

After suffering a legitimate torn ACL, Bill was written off before returning in early 2018. After competing as a singles wrestler for a while, he was released in June 2019 due to behavioral issues.

He continued to perform in the independent circuit as well as TNA before officially signing with AEW in 2022, where he became a one-time World Tag Team Champion with Ricky Starks.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful.com shared a tweet with a picture of AEW’s active roster, which no longer showed Big Bill. Sapp wrote that he had re-signed with WWE after his deal with All Elite Wrestling expired.

Bully Ray Expresses Happiness Over Former AEW Star’s WWE Return

While the reports of Big Cass returning to WWE did the rounds, no one really expected the company to run a vignette on Monday night’s episode of Raw.

It has also been claimed that Enzo Amore was spotted at the promotion’s Performance Center, hinting at a possible reunion between them.

As for the former AEW star’s vignette, it has also been revealed that he will officially return on the August 3 edition of Raw, which will be the red brand’s first episode after SummerSlam.

Elsewhere, speaking on the Busted Open Radio podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray said that he was psyched after watching the vignette, reminding host Dave LaGreca that Cass and Amore debuted on the main roster against them.

The vignette for what looks to be like the return of Big Cass, on a personal level, on a professional level, I popped so hard to see that last night. On a professional level, Dave, when Enzo and Cass debuted in the Barclays Center, guess who were the two guys in the ring with them, Bubba and D’Von. We were there to hear 20,000 people chanting every single word those guys had as if they were Road Dogg and Billy Gunn and the New Age Outlaws were riding for 10-15 years.

On a personal level, me and Tommy put Big Cass in an ambulance one night in the ECW Arena ‘cos he had hit rock bottom, and he has come back way, way, way from the pits of hell. Glad to see the vignette from Big Cass. I hope Enzo’s not far behind. I hope we get these two guys back together, but if it’s just Big Cass on his own, so happy for that dude.
