Controversial Ex-WWE Star Spotted At Performance Center 8 Years After Firing
WWE might be considering bringing a controversial talent back on live television.
Rumors of Enzo Amore returning to the Stamford promotion have intensified after he was spotted at the company’s Performance Center, according to False Finish, ahead of NXT’s taping on May 19.
It was recently reported during the Self Made Sessions podcast that Amore could be back with his former employer after being fired 8 years ago.
Enzo’s release came in January 2018 after he failed to report to WWE a sexual assault investigation against him. In his defense, the former Cruiserweight Champion claimed that the news became public even before he learnt about it.
A few months later, the Phoenix Police Department and Maricopa County Attorney’s Office closed the case without filing any charges against Amore, citing a lack of evidence.
Despite being cleared of any wrongdoing, he was never welcomed back to the company. In November of that year, he turned up unannounced at the Survivor Series pay-per-view, forcing the in-house security to eject him from the arena.
Amore has since competed in other wrestling promotions like New Japan Pro-Wrestling, TNA, and Major League Wrestling. While making minimal wrestling appearances, he also focused on building his career as a rapper.

Is Enzo Amore Reuniting With Big Bill/Big Cass In WWE?
Enzo Amore and Big Cass were a hugely popular tag team duo in the WWE. They first teamed up in 2013 in NXT before being moved to the main roster, where they carried a similar momentum.
In 2017, the duo split and was involved in a bitter feud. In May, Amore was attacked by unknown assailants, leading to Cass accusing different parties of being guilty.
However, it was later revealed that Cass had attacked Amore and even staged an attack on himself to avert any suspicions toward him.
Cass admitted to attacking Amore, claiming that he was being held back. The feud culminated in a Street Fight, which ended in a victory for Amore after Cass suffered a legitimate injury. Both wrestlers were released in 2018.
Big Cass is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, where he performs under the name Big Bill. His last match was during a February episode of Collision, where he was featured as part of a parking lot street fight.
With Enzo Amore now seen in the Stamford-based company, there are rumors that he could reunite with Big Cass, considering his contract with AEW reportedly ends in late May or early June.
Should they reunite in World Wrestling Entertainment, it will be interesting to see how the fans welcome them after 8 years.
The report of their potential reunion also comes at a time when WWE has been actively scouting new tag team talents after releasing multiple wrestlers after WrestleMania 42.
