The Rock vs. Roman Reigns dream match has been thrown around in WWE for a while.
WWE initially teased the matchup at WrestleMania 40 in 2024, when The People’s Champion professed his desire to face his cousin Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
However, due to fan pressure, The Rock had to back down and let Cody Rhodes have his Mania moment, which saw The American Nightmare fulfill his American Dream by beating the OTC for the World title.
Mark Henry Comments On The Possibility of Roman Reigns vs The Rock Dream Match
WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry recently sat down for a new interview with PWMania, where he discussed the possibility of The Rock versus Roman Reigns taking place in WWE.
Henry stated that The Rock has a thing for wrestling historical fights, and since The Rock vs Roman Reigns will definitely be “one of the biggest fights in wrestling history,” he’s very much positive that The Brahma Bull will show up for the match in the near future.
PWMania: Roman Reigns has evolved into one of WWE’s defining stars of this generation. Do you still believe a match against The Rock is WWE’s biggest possible attraction, and do you think it will eventually happen?
Mark Henry: “I hope so. I’ve been begging for it for 5 years now, and it still hasn’t happened. I think that will be the biggest wrestling attraction in the world that people want to see that we haven’t seen yet. It would be up there as one of the biggest fights in wrestling history. It would be up there with Rock vs Hogan. The Rock has been in a lot of those kinds of matches. He gets around when it comes to the historical fights. There’s been Rock and Hogan, Rock and Austin, Rock and Undertaker. If this trend carries on, we’ll probably get Rock and Roman and that would be one hell of a fight.”
