A former World Heavyweight Champion in WWE got knocked out during a recent event. The star in discussion is Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger).

Jake Hager is known for his time in the WWE as ‘Jack Swagger’ from 2008 to 2017, where he also became the World Heavyweight Champion once. He also had a run with AEW from 2020 to 2024. Last year, Hager announced his retirement from pro wrestling in order to move on to other ventures.

Earlier this year, Jake Hager officially signed with UFC Power Slap and expressed his excitement regarding the new venture while also admitting to being worried, with the following statement:

I’m so excited to announce that I’ve signed with UFC Power Slap, and they are doing a show April 17 in Vegas, live, That’s the Friday before [WrestleMania]. I’ll be competing in that show in the heavyweight division. I’ve been told I have a very slappable face. You’re signing up to get slapped and trying to slap someone back as hard as you can. So I expect injuries to happen. I’m not worried about it, to be honest,” said Hager.

Meanwhile, Jake Hager got knocked out during his recent competition. On Friday, Hager competed in a Power Slap competition against Amanpreet Singh, who is known as ‘Mahabali Shera’ to pro wrestling fans.

After surviving the previous two rounds, Jake Hager was knocked out badly by a powerful slap from Amanpreet Singh in the third round. The clip of the former World Heavyweight Champion getting a knockout slap has been going viral all over social media.

Former WWE Champion doesn’t rule out possibly wrestling again

In an interview with TMZ’s Inside The Ring, the former WWE World Champion, Jake Hager (fka Jack Swagger) revealed that his body was banged up when he retired, but he wouldn’t rule out wrestling again:

When I retired, my body was banged up pretty badly… my shoulders were hanging on by a thread. Everything’s a lot better now and healthier. I wouldn’t rule out me wrestling again.”

Jake Hager also opened up on his ongoing business project:

Hauling Oates, making your dreams come true. I manage the company from the office here and hire drivers. I only own two trucks, so I’m like a ‘flee,’ but we’re getting there. I’m trying to become a fleet owner right now.”

Only time will tell if Jake Hager will ever return to WWE or AEW in the future.
