BREAKING: CM Punk Suffers Gruesome Injury After WWE Title Win

This past week’s edition of Monday Night RAW ended in a huge shock for everyone when a new Undisputed WWE Champion was crowned, just days after Cody Rhodes dropped the title to Sami Zayn.

Zayn defeated Rhodes and Gunther at Night of Champions at the end of June and was forced to defend the title on WWE RAW, just nine days later. He faced off against a returning CM Punk in his hometown of Chicago, Illinois.

Punk, who had been missing since the night after WrestleMania 42, returned after a lengthy absence and won the Undisputed WWE Championship on his first night back.

CM Punks suffers a brutal eye injury on WWE RAW

However, it doesn’t seem like he came off unscathed from the fight against Sami as he sported a Black eye during his appearance tonight. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis welcomed him to the blue brand tonight and he addressed the crowd.

Punk was seen with a major bruise under his left eye, which he seemingly suffered while ducking a Helluva Kick from Sami Zayn during their match. His promo was interrupted by former Undisputed champion, Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes came up to Punk and the first thing he did was take a look at his eye. He then asked him about his injured eye, referring back to their segment from the episode of RAW after WrestleMania 42, where Cody was the one with the black eye.
