BREAKING: MJF’s Reign Of Terror Ends, New AEW World Champion Crowned
The main event for AEW Dynamite Beach Break was a highly anticipated one for the fans as the AEW World Heavyweight Champion, MJF, defended his Triple B against a long-term opponent.
Former AEW Champion Kenny Omega has had his eyes set on the title for a long time now, and he earned his match against the champion after their interaction on Dynamite last week.
MJF included a massive stipulation in the match, similar to the one he inserted in his last match against Hangman Adam Page. He gave Kenny the title shot for tonight, but only on the condition that if MJF won, Omega could never challenge for the title again.
Omega accepted the challenge, making tonight’s main event official. MJF began the match on the front foot, but Kenny has been on top ever since the action went outside.
He took MJF out with a couple of massive dives, including a glorious moonsault from the top of the ladder as the two men began brawling near the beginning of the ramp.
As the action went back into the ring, MJF showed moments of brilliance, but Kenny Omega seemed to have an answer for everything thrown at him. The AEW World Champion then looked for some creative destruction.
He emptied the announce table before trying to hit a piledriver from the ring apron onto the table. Omega jumped inside the ring and instead put MJF through the table by hitting him with a V-trigger on the apron.
He went through the announcement table and didn’t move for a while. Omega used this time to hydrate himself and catch his breath before turning his attention to MJF once again.
New AEW World Champion crowned on Dynamite tonight
Omega hit a fireman carry slam onto the floor of the ring before hitting a moonsault from the barricade. MJF then used some of his adrenaline to hit a Tombstone Piledriver onto the steel chair.
With his left knee already injured, the Piledriver messed it up even more. He then tried to go for the Heatseeker, but couldn’t because of his injured knee. Omega tried to lift him for the One-Winged Angel, but MJF got out.
He then hit a huge Poison Rana to Kenny from the top turnbuckle before hitting the Heatseeker for the win. However, Kenny Omega kicked out at the last second as the crowd burst into cheers.
HE DID IT! @KennyOmegamanX is the NEW AEW World Champion!#AndNew!

MJF then brought the AEW World Championship into the match, but used it to distract the referee. He then tried to use his Dynamite Diamond Ring on Omega, but Will Ospreay ran out and took it from him.
Omega then looked to use the belt on him, but stopped. Instead, MJF took advantage and hit Omega with a low blow and the title to the face. He pinned Kenny for the win, but the Cleaner kicked out at one.
This early kick out surprised MJF, and Kenny capitalized on it by hitting MJF with three successive V-Triggers. He then picked him up on his shoulders and hit the One-Winged-Angel to finally become the AEW World Champion once again.
