Triple H Not Behind Shocking WWE Exit – Reports
Triple H is reportedly not behind a recent WWE exit.
Sheamus has been working with the WWE for the past several years. He started in the company’s developmental territory before he made his way to ECW. From there, it was off to the races for the Celtic Warrior.
Shortly after making his WWE debut, Sheamus went on to win the WWE Championship from John Cena. During his time in the sports entertainment juggernaut, the Celtic Warrior won numerous World Titles. Despite being at the tail end of his career, Sheamus has still been able to deliver incredible matches over the past few years. In recent years, the Irish star has been in pursuit of the Intercontinental Championship so that he can finally call himself a Grand Slam Champion. However, this dream will never come true. It was recently reported that the Celtic Warrior turned down a contract extension with the company. It was also reported that the contract extension was a restructured offer that would’ve resulted in a pay cut for the former World Champion.
Triple H may not be the one to blame for Sheamus’ WWE exit
During a recent WrestleVotes Live on Fightful Select, JoeyVotes brought up Sheamus’ last WWE match, which took place at Madison Square Garden. Joey pointed out that this could’ve been the Celtic Warrior’s final match for the sports entertainment juggernaut.
“Speaking of John Cena, that’s going to turn out to be Sheamus’ last match as well. Remember that six-man at the Garden? That’s Sheamus, Cena and Rey Mysterio’s last match. That’s Sheamus’ last match.”
TC also reported that the decision to restructure Sheamus’ contract didn’t come from Triple H. It was the powers that be above The Game who handle contracts who made the call.
“But this is not a Triple H call. This is the powers that be above him that do the contracts, have numbers on guys.” [H/T Ringside News]
WWE reportedly approached Sheamus about a restructured contract whilst out injured.
He ‘swiftly’ rejected them.
As such he has departed the company after 19 years.

Sheamus leaving World Wrestling Entertainment will be a huge blow to the company since he was still one of the best in-ring performers in the promotion.
