Jey Uso Defends WWE Girlfriend After Wife Files For Divorce
Jey Uso’s personal life has taken center stage for unfortunate reasons.
It was recently reported by TMZ that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion’s wife of 12 years had filed for divorce. Jey, whose real name is Joshua Fatu, married Takecia Fatu on February 6, 2014, and the couple has two sons.
The divorce filing revealed Takecia claiming that their marriage had been ‘irretrievably broken.’ She is also said to have asked for the exclusive use of their Georgia home, child and spousal support, and attorney fees.
While it has not been officially confirmed by the involved parties, Jey Uso has reportedly been dating NXT superstar Jaida Parker, who is 13 years his junior.
The initial rumors of them being romantically involved started in 2023 when then-NXT talent Indi Hartwell shared a video on X that showed Parker and Uso getting cosy in the background.

More recently, Jey Uso was spotted with his arm around a female talent, which fans speculated to be Jaida, while attending a training session at Nattie’s Dungeon 2.0. With fans calling for the couple to officially confirm their relationship, Jey snapped by posting an Instagram Story, reading “Yea, she mines.”

Since the report of Jey Uso’s wife filing for divorce has come to light, the internet wrestling community has been all over the topic.
As active as he is on social media, Jey obviously got a whiff of the reaction and decided to respond.
The 40-year-old took to his Instagram Story and wrote: ‘IM A GROWN ASS MAN.’ He also defended his rumored girlfriend, Jaida Parker, by writing: ‘and leave her TF out of it too LAMFS.’

Unfortunately, his message written in all-caps was not enough to stop the IWC, as fans banded together and started submitting context via Community Notes on X.
Many of the fans accused the former champion of cheating on his wife while linking reports to those allegations.
Meanwhile, Jey has not addressed the community notes.
His last wrestling match was on the July 3 edition of SmackDown, where he faced Cody Rhodes to determine the #1 contender to Sami Zayn’s Undisputed WWE Championship.
Rhodes ultimately won. However, on Raw, The American Nightmare was assaulted by Gunther, rendering him unable to compete. He was replaced by the returning CM Punk, who defeated Zayn to become the new SmackDown champion.
