AEW star Big Bill (Big Cass in WWE) is expected to return to WWE, with the company planning to reunite him with his former tag team partner Enzo Amore.

WWE reportedly contacted Enzo Amore during WrestleMania 42 week. In May, he was spotted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

Then, earlier this month, it was reported that Big Cass’s AEW contract was on the verge of expiring. He will not be continuing his journey in AEW, as he has given notice to Tony Khan.

According to the reports, WWE is planning to bring both Enzo Amore and Big Cass back. The company is waiting for Big Cass’s AEW contract to expire, as they want both of them to return together.

AEW’s Big Bill Heading To WWE To Reunite With Enzo Amore

Speaking on the July 6 edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer provided an update on Enzo Amore and Big Cass’s WWE return situation. He confirmed that both former WWE stars are headed to WWE.

William Morrissey (Big Bill/Big Cass), who turns 40 next month, looks to be headed in (to WWE). He gave notice in AEW. AEW hadn’t used him much since they abandoned the Learning Tree act when Chris Jericho went on hiatus.

While there has been criticism of him in that act hurting him, the reality is he was never more over in AEW than in his role in that act. They were building up the idea of a turn and feud which would have been his biggest spotlight, but it never materialized.

“At first (Enzo & Big Cass) will work out of the nostalgia and Cass is also so much better than he was in his WWE days. Enzo was never much in the ring but Danhausen getting over probably opened the door for a guy who is marginal in the ring but is a unique talker, and Enzo also was a (merch) mover in his day.”
