BREAKING: Major WWE Champion Pinned On SmackDown

This week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown featured a lot of matches that had massive implications on the championship landscape in WWE and its sister companies.

The night began with the newly-crowned Undisputed WWE Champion, Sami Zayn, kicking off the show. Things didn’t go too well for him, though, as he was told that he would be putting his title on the line next week on RAW.

A number one contender’s match for his title was scheduled for tonight, while the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship was defended on the show as well. The night also featured Brie Bella’s first match on the blue brand in a decade.

Brie Bella makes WWE SmackDown in-ring return

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Brie Bella and Paige, have been the subject of brutal attacks from Fatal Influence ever since the group made the move up to SmackDown from NXT.

The group is gunning for the tag team titles, and Brie took on Lainey Reid in singles action tonight to get some momentum on her side. However, it wasn’t a happy return to the ring for Brie on SmackDown.

After dominating Reid for large parts of the match, Bella succumbed to defeat after the numbers advantage got to her. The rest of Fatal Influence helped Reid pick up the win over Brie, and this will go a long him in getting them a title shot in the near future.
