An AEW and WWE crossover has been on the bucket list of wrestling fans for a long time. Here’s what the Young Bucks had to say about it.

During Being The Elite is live!, Matt and Nick Jackson answered some fan questions. One fan asked them about AEW’s potential collaboration with WWE through an extended Forbidden Door event.

Nick Jackson responded that it would be awesome to have a crossover event between AEW and WWE. He hoped that, somewhere down the line, the rival promotions would collaborate to give fans a blockbuster crossover event.

Nick Jackson: “Oh, I think that would be awesome. You know, people say that’s the one thing that you could always… They say ‘never say never’ in this business, right?”

However, Matt Jackson quickly shut down the idea, stating that the possibility of this happening is zero to none.

“That might be a never though.”

Nick Jackson added that he’s still hopeful.

“It would be awesome. I would love to do that.” H/T Ringside News

Only time will tell whether AEW and WWE will set their differences aside to partner.

AEW’s Young Bucks Wanted To Face WWE’s New Day

The Young Bucks with Kenny Omega (The Elite) famously clashed with The New Day (Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston, and Big E) in an epic Street Fighter V showdown at E3 in Los Angeles. It wasn’t a traditional physical fight, but a live 3-on-3 video game battle.

After their video game war, the Jackson brothers wanted to wrestle The New Day inside the ring. They even talked to Triple H about it, but unfortunately, it didn’t happen.

“We truly were trying to get a New Day, Young Bucks, Kenny (Omega) match to happen, an Elite vs. New Day match. Actively.

They said they were trying on their side, we were talking to our bosses, even to the point in 2018 we got on the phone to Triple H and we talked and said ‘we would really like to do this match’.

I don’t know if he was necessarily interested in just doing that match, I think he was more interested in pursuing us to work for him, but we talked to him about it, so we were serious about doing the match, and we thought we’d probably be able to do it.

And unfortunately we never did.”
