WWE Officially Makes Huge Roman Reigns Move

WWE made an official move that is directly related to the current World Heavyweight Champion, Roman Reigns.

Roman Reigns is arguably the biggest star in the WWE right now. He has been pushed as a top star for over a decade now. Reigns’ transition to becoming the Tribal Chief in 2020 changed the entire wrestling scene. He was later named the OTC as well.

Lately, WWE has been revisiting the Bloodline storyline on RAW, as The Usos reunited with Roman Reigns, and Jacob Fatu also acknowledged the Tribal Chief after he failed to capture the World Heavyweight title from Reigns on two different occasions.

Since Roman is back to being the Tribal Chief of his cousins, WWE has officially filed to trademark the term “Tribal Chief.” According to the USPTO, the description for the trademark states the following:

Clothing, namely, tops, shirts, jackets, sweatshirts, hoodies; outerwear, namely, coats; bottoms, pants, shorts, underwear, dresses, pajamas, lingerie, clothing ties, scarves, gloves, swimwear; Halloween and masquerade costumes; footwear, namely, shoes, sneakers, slippers, flip flops, boots; headwear, namely, hats, caps; wrist bands; bandanas; championship trophy belts” [h/t WrestleTalk]

The above description hints at some new “Tribal Chief” merchandise for Roman Reigns.

Potential opponent for Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 43

At Night of Champions 2026, Oba Femi won the King of the Ring tournament, and fans expected Oba to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at SummerSlam 2026. However, Oba decided to delay his world title opportunity, as he will take on Brock Lesnar inside the Hell in a Cell at the biggest event of the summer.

Dave Meltzer on the Wrestling Observer Radio recently speculated that Oba Femi will possibly get his title match at WrestleMania:

He’s going to get his championship match. I think it’ll be at WrestleMania … Maybe Brock didn’t want to make the trip, or maybe they just wanted Oba not to lose twice. They wanted him to wear the crown … I’m not surprised, I mean, it doesn’t suck, it’s not the first, tenth or fifteenth time this has been done.”

Meltzer also speculated that Roman Reigns vs Oba Femi will most likely take place at WrestleMania 43:

It’s just how they decide to do their business. I mean, I think from a business standpoint, they got nothing bigger than Roman Reigns against Oba Femi and that’s the WrestleMania match most likely.”

Meanwhile, Roman Reigns is slated to defend his World title against Seth Rollins at SummerSlam 2026.
