Most Likely Spoiler On Roman Reigns’ WWE WrestleMania 43 Opponent
A new speculation provided a potential spoiler on Roman Reigns’ opponent for WWE WrestleMania 43.
Two years after his historic Undisputed WWE Championship reign ended, Roman Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship by defeating CM Punk at WrestleMania 42. The OTC has been dominating as the World Champion, as he has had two successful title defenses against Jacob Fatu.
Recently, Oba Femi won the King of the Ring tournament, and many fans hoped that he would challenge Roman for the World title at SummerSlam. However, Oba surprisingly decided to postpone his World title opportunity, as he will take on Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell at SummerSlam.
On the other hand, Seth Rollins challenged Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, and their title match has been made official for SummerSlam 2026. Meanwhile, there is a likely spoiler on who Roman’s opponent at WrestleMania 43 next year will be.
Major WWE star could challenge Roman Reigns for the World title at WrestleMania 43
Speaking on the recent edition of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer speculated that the major WWE star, Oba Femi will eventually get his World Championship match after becoming King of the Ring, possibly at WrestleMania next year. Meltzer also noted that maybe the company wanted Oba to wear the crown and didn’t want him to lose twice:
He’s going to get his championship match. I think it’ll be at WrestleMania … Maybe Brock didn’t want to make the trip, or maybe they just wanted Oba not to lose twice. They wanted him to wear the crown … I’m not surprised, I mean, it doesn’t suck, it’s not the first, tenth or fifteenth time this has been done,” Dave said.
Dave Meltzer further speculated that Roman Reigns vs Oba Femi will most likely take place at WrestleMania next year:
It’s just how they decide to do their business. I mean, I think from a business standpoint, they got nothing bigger than Roman Reigns against Oba Femi and that’s the WrestleMania match most likely. So, did he have to win King of the Ring? Could they have done Lesnar? Could Lesnar have interfered?” [H/T Sportskeeda Wrestling]

The above speculation by Dave Meltzer also hints that Roman Reigns will not be losing the World Heavyweight title until WrestleMania 43. Oba Femi, on the other hand, has been feuding with Brock Lesnar since WrestleMania 42, and their Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam 2026 could potentially be the end of their rivalry.
