Cody Rhodes Makes Major Confession About Female WWE Star
Cody Rhodes says he feels relieved when he sees IYO SKY on the match card.
Speaking on the latest episode of his What Do You Wanna Talk About? podcast with special guest Fallon Henley, The American Nightmare heaped praise on The Genius of the Sky. He confessed that whenever he sees the former Women’s World Champion on the match card, he feels relieved.
Cody Rhodes Knows IYO SKY Will Save The Day If He Messes Up
The reason for his relief is rooted in IYO SKY’s ability to put magic into her matches. Rhodes said that if SKY is on the same match card as he is, he feels comforted in knowing that SKY will save the day with her performance even if he accidentally messes up his match.
Any time IYO is in the ring. There are cards we have that I’ll look and be very thankful for some of the names, and IYO’s one of them. In a way, it lightens things. ‘Alright, if I blow it, they’re gonna be fine, IYO’s going out there and putting in a shift already, she’s killed it’.”
Both Cody Rhodes and IYO SKY were on the Night of Champions match card on June 27. Rhodes defended the Undisputed WWE Championship against Gunther and Sami Zayn in a triple threat match and lost his belt to Zayn.
IYO SKY wrestled Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring tournament finals and beat The Miracle Kid to become the Queen of the Ring, earning herself a world title shot at SummerSlam.
SKY has stated that she will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Championship at the biggest part of the summer this year. SKY’s journey to SummerSlam won’t be easy.
Liv Morgan, with her Judgment Day mates, has already started tormenting her number one challenger. This past Monday, Morgan, Roxanne Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez brutally attacked SKY in Rhea Ripley’s absence.
