BREAKING: MJF Survives Serious Scare On AEW Dynamite
AEW Dynamite kicked off tonight’s edition of its most successful weekly show live from the Viejas Arena in San Diego, California. The show dealt with the immediate aftermath of this past weekend’s Forbidden Door.
A shocking turn in the main event of the show saw Andrade turn on the Don Callis Family and MJF, as he helped Mark Briscoe’s team pick up the win. This proved to be even costlier for the AEW World Champion.
Mark Briscoe had announced earlier that if his team defeated MJF’s at Forbidden Door, the Salt of the Earth would give Briscoe a title shot. Their AEW World Championship title match kicked off tonight’s Dynamite.
The match was off to a brutal start that quickly saw Briscoe wrestle with a Crimson Mask courtesy of MJF before the former TNT Champion introduced a wooden table in the match.

He sent MJF to the table and went up the top rope to put him through, but MJF picked him up and threw him directly at the ring apron, before taking control of the fight once again.
He couldn’t stay in control for long, as Briscoe exposed the concrete on the outside. He then slammed MJF onto the concrete before hitting him with an Elbow Drop onto the concrete floor.

He continued his assault on MJF and hit a huge Blockbuster on the floor before hitting a massive Elbow Drop on the champion through the wooden table. He dragged MJF into the ring after that and pinned him, but he was too close to the bottom rope and put his leg on it.
Briscoe then hit another Elbow Drop in the middle of the ring and followed it up with a Jay Driller, but it still wasn’t enough to pin MJF. Ultimately, it was the champion who retained after pulling through and hitting a Heatseeker on Briscoe.
