A recent report revealed that multiple people got fired from the WWE recently.

Ever since the TKO Group took over the ownership of WWE in 2023, there have been a string of releases from the company at different points. After WrestleMania 42 this year, more than 20 wrestlers were released from the company. Surprisingly, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods of the New Day also left after they were allegedly asked to take a pay cut. Meanwhile, the firings continue.

According to the latest report from PWInsidermultiple employees were fired from the WWE last week. It’s reported that two to four people were let go from the social media and digital department of the company.

PWInsider concluded that there may have been others who were let go from the WWE, and they are working to confirm the same as of now.

Speculation on Triple H’s involvement in the WWE releases

Earlier this year, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer claimed that nobody above the WWE CCO, Triple H (aka Paul Levesque) is deciding which wrestler to release from the roster, and he is to blame for how Vince McMahon was blamed during his regime:

Nobody above Levesque is saying who to cut. Maybe [WWE President] Nick Khan, maybe not. Ari Emanuel isn’t sitting there saying we have to fire Zelina [Vega] and Kairi. By and large the decision maker, for good or for bad, here is Paul. It’s like in other years where people blamed this person or that person when the decision was 100 percent Vince [McMahon].”

Meltzer also claimed that TKO is not ordering who to cut from the roster, as they just provide Triple H a budget which he has to keep in check:

There’s not a chance TKO is ordering who to cut. It is possible they’ve got an unofficial salary cap and Levesque as the manager has to keep the number below that. Most likely the salary total would be a Khan decision, and as far as the key in the personnel decision, that’s Levesque although Khan having input and others having input is likely. It’s like Vince would consult with a few people but at the end, it was Vince’s call, not evil Jim Ross or evil Johnny Ace or evil JJ Dillon.”

Only time will tell if WWE has more unfortunate releases lined up in the future.
