Liv Morgan opened up about her iconic moment with John Cena at WWE Survivor Series 2025.

John Cena went on a retirement tour last year. On his final run, The Last Real Champion captured the Intercontinental Championship, finally becoming a Grand Slam Champion.

At Survivor Series: WarGames last November, Cena defended his Intercontinental Title against the former champion, Dominik Mysterio. During the match, Liv Morgan returned from a long injury absence and kicked The Never Seen 17 below the belt, allowing her Daddy Dom to recapture the championship.

In a recent interview with the Saudi Tourism Authority ahead of Night of Champions, Morgan reflected on the iconic moment, admitting it felt surreal because she grew up as a John Cena fan. She added that she never thought she would one day share the ring with the WWE legend.

It felt surreal. It felt surreal because I grew up a John Cena fan. So to come full circle and help Dominik defeat him during his retirement tour, to have my moment with John Cena, I think is something that I never really thought I’d do, ever. But it was so much fun. Dominik won, that’s all that matters, and The Judgment Day was on top.

Liv Morgan Lost The Queen Of The Ring Final At WWE Night Of Champions

Liv Morgan unexpectedly entered this year’s Queen of the Ring tournament despite already being the reigning Women’s World Champion. She reached the final after beating Sol Ruca, Becky Lynch, and Chelsea Green in the first round before overcoming Charlotte Flair in the semi-finals.

Last Saturday, The Judgment Day member faced IYO SKY in the tournament’s final, but failed to capture the crown as The Genius of the Sky emerged victorious to earn a world title shot at SummerSlam.

The Japanese star wasted no time putting Morgan on notice after their match, informing the Women’s World Champion that she would be challenging her at The Biggest Party of the Summer.
