Ghost From Jon Moxley’s Past Stuns Death Riders Member At AEW Forbidden Door
AEW star and Death Riders member PAC suffered a defeat at the hands of Shota Umino at Forbidden Door.
Following Umino’s title win at NJPW Dominion, where he pinned then-champion Andrade El Idolo, he was attacked by Gabe Kidd, who was returning from an injury.
After blindsiding Umino, who is Jon Moxley’s former protege, Kidd planted him with a piledriver and declared himself as part of the Death Riders. PAC was also featured in a video, where he announced his intent to challenge for the IWGP title at Forbidden Door, which Umino accepted.
Shoto Umino Beats PAC At AEW Forbidden Door
PAC gained an early advantage by sneak-attacking his opponent, as the action spilled outside in the early goings.
After eating a few hard hits, Umino retaliated with several strong strikes of his own. PAC tried introducing a table into the match, which was not legal.
After no-selling a few kicks to the head, Shota and ‘The Bastard’ traded a few forearm shots before the challenger got knocked down by a slap to the face. The member of the Death Riders then threw the champion through the table, which was stationed outside.
He then hit Umino with a 450 Splash for a near fall. Shota, too, retaliated with a clothesline for a close fall. Shortly afterward, he hit the Northern Lights Bomb for the win.

After the match, Jon Moxley confronted his former protege, only to be interrupted by Hiroshi Tanahashi, who retired from wrestling earlier this year.
