Triple H Breaks Silence After Sami Zayn’s WWE Title Win
Sami Zayn is finally a WWE Champion.
The main event of Night of Champions on June 27 saw Cody Rhodes put his Undisputed WWE Championship on the line against Sami Zayn and Gunther in a Triple Threat Match.
In the closing moments of the bout, Cody delivered a double Cross Rhodes to Sami and Gunther and was about to deliver a second one to Sami to win the match. However, Sami countered and quickly rolled him up for the three-count victory.
With that win, Sami Zayn became the Undisputed WWE Champion in front of the jam-packed crowd in Saudi Arabia, an accomplishment that he had been chasing for over a decade.
Following Sami Zayn’s championship victory at Night of Champions, Triple H logged on to his Instagram account to congratulate the newly crowned Undisputed WWE Champion. HHH shared a backstage picture and a video with the new champ, Sami Zayn, and wrote:
From underdog to undisputed. Congrats to the NEW @WWE Undisputed Champion @SamiZayn Never say never.

Sami Zayn Gets Overwhelmed With Joy After WWE Title Victory
After his grand victory, Sami Zayn spoke to Byron Saxton and opened up about winning the Undisputed WWE Championship. Zayn stated that he had finally proved his doubters wrong, who had claimed that he would never win a WWE title.
I don’t really know how to answer that Byron. A lot have been said about me. Some good and lately some bad. A lot of folks said I would never win the WWE Championship. I stand here tonight in front of my people, [In Arabic: here in Riyadh, in front of the Arab people, the muslim people, the world champion.] The WWE Champion. It’s hard to believe, oh my God!
Byron, you know, I’m not usually at a loss of words but… [Reacts to ‘You deserve it chants] You know what? You’re damn right I deserve it. Twenty plus years in the game at the highest level, never got the recognition. Ten plus years chasing this championship, never got the recognition. I don’t care what happens to me tomorrow, next week, next month, next year. Forever, I will be Sami Zayn WWE Champion.
