Major The Rock Tease Dropped At WWE Night Of Champions

The Rock has been absent from WWE for over a year.

The Final Boss’ last appearance in WWE came in February of last year at Elimination Chamber. He played a part in John Cena’s heel turn after Cody Rhodes refused to sell him his soul.

Since then, The Rock has been focused on his projects outside WWE. He has also barely mentioned the promotion over the past year despite being a TKO board member.

Although he remains absent from WWE TV, The Rock’s most famous finishing move was used tonight at Night of Champions.

Lil Yachti Delivers The Rock’s People’s Elbow To Ricky Saints

After feuding for several weeks on SmackDown, Ricky Saints and Trick Williams squared off tonight at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with the United States Championship on the line. Despite Saints’ best efforts, he failed to dethrone the champion.

After the match Saints attempted to ambush Williams before Lil Yachti made a surprise appearance to stop him. The former AEW star was then taken out by Williams and his ally before Yachti unexpectedly delivered a People’s Elbow to Saints. WWE later referred to the move as “The Yacht Drop.”
