Trick Williams Retains WWE US Title Before Chaos Erupts At Night Of Champions

The first title match at WWE Night of Champions saw Trick Williams defend his United States Championship against Ricky Saints after the two had been fighting over the title for the last few weeks.

Saints faced a stiff challenge from Carmelo Hayes to earn a shot at Trick Williams’ title, but defeated the former champion to earn a shot at the United States Championship.

Trick addressed the SmackDown crowd last night and was celebrating his recent marriage to Lash Legend before Saints came out and humiliated the champion in the ring.

The two men then met inside the ring tonight, and Trick put on a huge display of strength against Saints. He even had Lil Yachty in his corner, but Saints took a page out of WWE legend Eddie Guerrero’s book.

He took hold of Yachty’s Kendo Stick and hit it on the steel steps behind the referee’s back and fell to the ground, causing the referee to think the music star attacked him. He sent Yachty to the back, and Saints began to dominate the match.

However, he wasn’t truly able to take advantage of the situation as Trick ultimately picked up the win after hitting Saints with a Trick Shot. Following the match, Ricky Saints looked to jump Trick, but was stopped by Yachty. He hit him with the Kendo Stick before following it up with a People’s Elbow.
