Triple H Breaks Major Vince McMahon Rule On WWE SmackDown
Triple H took control of WWE creative midway through 2022, following Vince McMahon’s decision to step down from his duties after being in charge of creative for nearly four decades.
Ever since then, The Game has been doing things differently from what his father-in-law used to do. One of the major differences in their booking strategy has been regarding their treatment of hometown stars.
Vince McMahon had an unwritten rule during his time in charge where he would have the hometown star lose in front of their crowd in an attempt to get more heat behind their opponent.
Paige picks up a huge win on WWE SmackDown
Triple H hasn’t always stuck to his rule and generally gives the hometown star the win to get a huge pop from the crowd. He did so once again on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
The episode was held at the O2 Arena in London, England, tonight, and the show saw one-half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, Paige, take on Jacy Jayne in singles action.
Paige, who hails from Norwich, England, took to the ring to a huge reception from the crowd and picked up the win against Jayne after pinning her with a surprise roll-up following some shenanigans outside of the ring.
