Jade Cargill Breaks Silence On Unfortunate Wardrobe Malfunction In WWE
Jade Cargill has finally addressed her recent wardrobe malfunction.
On a recent episode of SmackDown, The Storm squared off with Charlotte Flair, Sol Ruca, and Lyra Valkyria in a Queen of the Ring first-round match.
During the match, Cargill’s wig suddenly fell off during a spot with The Queen and Valkyria. The former WWE Women’s Champion continued the match, holding her wig with her hand.
In a recent interview with the No Contest Wrestling podcast, Cargill addressed the mishap, revealing why she was lucky her ball cap came off as well.
Thankfully my ball cap came off as well because imagine if my ball cap was still on my head. People would have really thought I was bald. Like that’s the crazy thing about it.
I think this is a great opportunity to teach people about the culture and let people know because everybody, every single woman, maybe like three women or four, wears extensions, wears a wig. There’s several of us that wear wigs.
People are just ignorant and stupid and they just want to jump on the bandwagon. But hey, you know what? That lets me know good or bad, I always trend. I always trend. People always try to find a reason to slam dunk and what else can you do when you’re Jade Cargill?
Jade Cargill Was Fuming After Her WWE SmackDown Wardrobe Malfunction
Jade Cargill opened up about finishing the match and hitting her spots despite the unfortunate wardrobe malfunction, stating that it “felt like forever.”
The 34-year-old revealed that she was fuming after the mishap, confessing that it was her most embarrassing moment.
It felt like forever. I was fuming. I didn’t I was like just flustered. I was just so flustered and I was just thinking more so for the match and more so for these women who put on and but it felt like forever I was out there y’all. I don’t think y’all understand. That was my most embarrassing point.”
“But guess what? I’m still alive. I’m still beautiful. And hey, with short hair or long hair, I’m still the bomb. So, it’s all good. It is all good.
Meanwhile, Jade Cargill fired back at fans calling the wardrobe malfunction a botch, claiming it made no sense.
It was a lot. It was a lot. But it’s just like the ignorance. But you know what? I’m going to take that moment. I’m going to do something really big with it because the ignorance in wrestling is so loud.
It’s so loud because so many women have lost extension. So many women have had all kind of malfunctions with their wardrobe. And for some reason, they called it a botch when my hair is a part of my character. Like what do what do we what are we calling botches now?”
I think people are getting so loose with the word now. I think there needs to be a gatekeeper [H/T: Ringside News]
