Why Bron Breakker Isn’t In The WWE Main Event Scene
One of the most puzzling storylines in WWE today is that of Bron Breakker and The Vision.
Following Seth Rollins’ ouster from the heel faction in October last year, Breakker emerged as a strong world championship contender on Raw.
‘The Badass’ even challenged CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship during the January 5 edition of the red brand in a losing effort.
One of his most humiliating losses came at the 2026 Royal Rumble, where he was eliminated from the namesake match in 10 seconds by Oba Femi, although he was attacked by a masked intruder beforehand.
Bron Breakker’s return match at Backlash against Seth Rollins, following his hernia injury and subsequent surgery, somewhat elevated him, but he has remained in the midcard ever since.
He is currently one-half of the World Tag Team Champions alongside Austin Theory with no destination in sight. Even Paul Heyman is berating the group during their on-screen segments, which further hurts his credibility.
All this poses just one question: why is Breakker still with The Vision and not in the main event scene?
Responding to a user’s question on the Notsam Wrestling podcast, Sam Roberts claimed that the 28-year-old is not yet at the level where he can outshine veteran wrestlers in WWE.
You’ve got Punk and Cody and Roman and Seth and Sami and Gunther and all these guys in the main event scene; you have to make sure that you have a guy whose spotlight is going to drown out theirs and not the other way around. And that’s why I believe that Bron Breakker hasn’t ended up in that big spot yet, although I believe that he will. [54:45 onwards]
Triple H Accused Of Dropping The Ball With Bron Breakker’s Booking
It’s not only the fans who have called out WWE’s poor booking of Bron Breakker, but former company employees have also questioned Triple H.
On a recent episode of The War Room, Jonathan Coachman expressed disappointment at Breakker’s handling, claiming that his on-screen character felt cold.
I’m disappointed because it should all be about Bron Breakker, and Bron Breakker should be the guy that they rehabilitate and build up because right now he’s cold. He’s ice cold. Oba Femi and his resurgence on Monday Night Raw has just absolutely overtaken Bron Breakker. And for some reason this company can’t book two young studs at the same time. And I don’t really understand that.
Coachman also called for Breakker to be separated from The Vision, instead pairing him up with Paul Heyman and turning him babyface.
