A beloved star could return around WWE SummerSlam 2026, according to a report. The star under discussion is Stephanie Vaquer.

Stephanie Vaquer was on top of the RAW women’s division for months as the Women’s World Champion until she lost the title to Liv Morgan at WrestleMania 42. Vaquer has been out of action ever since her title loss at Mania due to injury.

It’s been nearly three months and there has been no official announcement regarding the return date of La Primera. Meanwhile, SummerSlam 2026 is just a few weeks away and a new report provided an update on the potential return of Stephanie Vaquer.

During a Q&A session, WrestleVotes reported that Stephanie Vaquer could be back on TV likely around SummerSlam 2026 or at the event itself. The report also opened up on the importance of Vaquer in the RAW women’s division, stating the division is lacking without her:

Likely around SummerSlam, the week before, or at SummerSlam—in that range. The show could definitely use her. That women’s division on Raw is lacking without her. So, looking forward to getting her back around SummerSlam.” [h/t Ringside News]

WWE star revealed how her big World title win almost got canceled

At WrestlePalooza 2025, the WWE star, Stephanie Vaquer captured the Women’s World Championship for the first time in her career. In an interview earlier this year, Vaquer revealed that her title win was first supposed to take place at Clash in Paris 2025, but she got sick and her participation was canceled.

La Primera also disclosed that she got sick again before WrestlePalooza 2026 and her match with Iyo Sky was about to get canceled before she insisted to Triple H and the management to compete at the event:

One week before, I get sick again, I feel like sick again. So medical say, Okay, I’m sorry, but you can’t go to Wrestlepalooza. I already have the ticket, the flight for my dad and everything and like that. That was so hard in that moment, but I talked with Triple H, and I talk with many people in WWE and say, No, I’m ready.”

I’m not sick. I feel good. I can do that. Please just let me go, I can do that. Finally, I was there, and that was amazing, because it’s not just Wrestlepalooza, big event with IYO SKY, my dad was there and my dream that Women’s World Champion.”

Only time will tell when Stephanie Vaquer will be back in action in WWE.
