Cope And Cage Win Huge AEW Title Match, Get Attacked Immediately
AEW Dynamite aired live from the MGM Music Hall tonight in Boston, Massachusetts, as the promotion built towards its first-ever edition of their latest Pay-Per-View, AEW Redemption.
The promotion had built a huge show tonight as it followed the events of last week, where Kenny Omega defeated MJF to become the AEW World Champion once again.
Picking up from where the show left off last week, the fans had another title match to witness after Adam Copeland and Christian Cage put their World Tag Team Championships on the line against Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders.
The Jon Moxley-led group teamed up with The Dogs to attack Cope and Cage, leading to the champions challenging Yuta and Garcia, as they vowed to be fighting champions.
The Death Riders strike again on AEW Dynamite
A highly entertaining match followed tonight, which the challengers dominated in the beginning after isolating Christian and Copeland. Cope managed to crawl across the ring to get Cage in via a hot tag, and that turned things around.
Cage turned the tide for his team and almost got the win before Garcia intervened in his pin attempt. Yuta and Garcia then teamed up for a double attack on Cage as Cope recovered.
Yuta tried to take the turnbuckle padding off and distracted the referee, allowing Cage to kick Garcia between the legs. He then launched a running Wheeler Yuta onto Cope, who speared him mid-air, allowing Christian to pin him and pick up the win.
Just as the Death Riders and Dogs began their attack on Cage & Cope, the Bang Bang Gang rushes to the rescue!

Their celebration was short-lived, though, as Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli came out with The Dogs and began beating down on Christian and Copeland. As they continued the assault, Christian and Cope got some backup.
The Bang Bang Gang came to their rescue and ran the Dogs and Death Riders away. David finally tried to use his Shillelagh on Cage, but was stopped by Jay White, who took hold of the Shillelagh.
