A former WWE champion has opened up about a brutal spot involving Oba Femi.

Ethan Page joined the WWE roster in 2024. He quickly wasted no time in capturing the NXT Championship. After losing the title, Page turned his attention to the NXT North American Championship.

Ethan Page will go down as one of the greatest North American Champions of all time. During the course of his NXT run, Page was involved in many iconic matches and moments. He was also part of the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2024. During the bout, Page found himself in a dangerous situation when he was locked in the penalty box along with Oba Femi. As Page tried to escape the box through the roof, Oba pulled him back into the box and bounced his head off the walls until the door buzzed open. Oba ended up winning the match.

During a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, Ethan Page recalled the penalty box spot with Oba Femi. He called it one of the most painful moments of his career.

“My favorite of that is the swimming, trying to get out of the box. But ironically, one of the most painful moments of my wrestling career happened when he pulled me back into the box. If you go watch it back, my head is genuinely bouncing like a basketball off of the walls, but then at the end he ends up palming my face into the glass before the door buzzes to open. I just remember my head hitting it like, oh my god, this guy is a maniac! So yeah, Oba Femi, great guy.” [H/T Chrisvanvliet.com]

Mark Henry offers advice to Oba Femi

During a recent interview with PWMania, Mark Henry was asked to give some advice to Oba Femi so that he could reach his full potential. The World’s Strongest Man told The Ruler not to overextend himself and be selective when it comes to choosing storylines and rivalries.

PWMania.com: You’ve competed against some of the greatest powerhouses in wrestling history. Oba Femi has drawn comparisons to your style. What advice would you give him to ensure he reaches his full potential and enjoys a Hall of Fame career?

Mark Henry: “I would say that Oba Femi has to be very cautious about getting caught up with too many people. He has to be very cautious about not overextending himself, because sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. You don’t have to be involved in everything to have a successful career.”

“You have to let the well fill up. Anybody that’s ever lived off well water, the last thing you want to do is drink the water at the bottom of the well. You want to let that water fill up, and you want to take water off the top, and you want to process that water, get it purified and clean. What I’m trying to say is that you want everything to be pure and clean, but that takes time.” [H/T PWMania]

It remains to be seen if Oba Femi will take Mark Henry’s advice.
