Massive Reunion Teased In WWE

A current WWE champion thinks a reunion will happen. 

The Lucha Brothers tag team of Penta and Rey Fenix had a lot of success elsewhere before they debuted in WWE separately in early 2025.

Prior to their WWE debut, Penta and Fenix had a lot of success wrestling in places like AEW, TNA/Impact, Ring of Honor, and all over Mexico, of course.

Currently, Penta is the popular Intercontinental Champion on the WWE Monday Night Raw brand, while Rey Fenix has found success as the AAA Cruiserweight Champion. Fenix is also a part of SmackDown and has defended the Cruiserweight Title on the blue brand.

Many fans have been wondering whether the Lucha Brothers will team up in a WWE ring. Penta addressed that in an interview with the Dallas Morning News and assured fans that the brothers would tag team again.

“Definitely, definitely. I expect that. Because I know in my heart, at some point, the Lucha Bros. come together again. When? I don’t know exactly, but (for) now, I’ll enjoy this this kind of season in my life, in my career, in singles. My brother, too. Now he is champion, I am champion.

Now we’ve started building in different ways. But the most important thing is, I promise you, one time in some point the Lucha Bros. will be back.”

Penta Will Face Winner WWE Raw Gauntlet Match At SummerSlam

The Intercontinental Title will be on the line at WWE SummerSlam when Penta defends the gold against the winner of a Gauntlet Match on tonight’s July 13th episode of Monday Night Raw in Dallas.

Here are the names announced for the Gauntlet Match: Rusev, Je’Von Evans, Joe Hendry, Dragon Lee, Chad Gable, Ethan Page, and Dominik Mysterio.

Since SummerSlam is in Minnesota and Gable is from there, many people believe he could be the favorite to win the Gauntlet Match and the Intercontinental Title at SummerSlam. Gable has yet to hold a singles title in WWE.

This is what WWE is advertising for Raw on July 13th:

* World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins contract signing for the World Heavyweight Championship match at SummerSlam

* Brock Lesnar appears

* Gauntlet Match With Winner Receiving Intercontinental Title Match At SummerSlam: Rusev vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Joe Hendry vs. Chad Gable vs. Dragon Lee vs. Ethan Page vs. Dominik Mysterio

*  Iyo Sky vs. Roxanne Perez

* Face to Face: Bayley has invited Lyra Valkyria to meet face to face.
