Mercedes Moné May Have Subtly Teased WWE Star’s Arrival In AEW
Mercedes Moné has done it again.
The winner of the 2026 Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament has never shied away from expressing her thoughts on social media. Whether it’s her opinion about her rivalry with Britt Baker or John Cena’s retirement from professional wrestling, Moné has always spoken her mind.
On Tuesday, she again got the wrestling world talking, this time teasing the potential arrival of an active WWE talent.
Over the last year, WWE’s treatment of Bayley, who is a 4-time former Women’s Champion, has angered fans. One of the first instances was telling her to pave the way for Becky Lynch, which resulted in her getting removed from the WrestleMania 41 card.
After her television return in June, her character hinted at a heel turn, only for WWE to drop the angle altogether. Since then, she has been paired with Lyra Valkyria, who recently turned on her.
On Monday, Bayley confronted Valkyria, setting up a clash between them at Saturday Night’s Main Event on July 18.
In the midst of all the drama surrounding her ‘ill-treatment,’ reports have claimed that she could be AEW-bound after her contract expires at the end of 2026.
Mercedes Moné, who became one of Bayley’s close friends during their time together in the Stamford promotion, tweeted a gif of an hourglass shortly after the latter’s appearance on WWE Raw.

Although the post did not contain any caption, the graphic was enough to get the fans to talk about their potential reunion in AEW.
Mercedes Moné Finds New Allies In AEW
Mercedes Moné is not necessarily a team player, but like MJF, she is all about the “means to an end” approach.
Thanks to her victory over Maya World in the final of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament at Forbidden Door, Moné has earned an AEW Women’s World Championship shot at All In: London.
While the 34-year-old has won multiple honors in the Jacksonville-based company, the World Championship has remained elusive.
Last Wednesday’s Dynamite taping featured a Casino Gauntlet Match to determine the #1 Contender to Thekla’s title at Redemption. Athena, Maya World, Skye Blue, Mina Shirakawa, Rina, Julia Hart, Thunder Rosa, and Willow Nightingale competed in it before Nightingale won.
After the match, Thekla attacked the former TBS Champion. Meanwhile, as her Triangle of Madness stablemates Hart and Blue made their way to the back, they were caught off guard and taken out by Divine Dominion.
As Thekla found herself distracted, Mercedes Moné hit her with the Women’s Owen Hart Cup Title, leaving fans to speculate about her alliance with Megan Bayne and Lena Kross.
