“Semi-Serious” Talks Held About Ex-AEW Star’s Appearances In WWE
There have been “semi-serious” talks about a former AEW star making appearances in WWE.
When Cody Rhodes signed with AEW, Brandi Rhodes became a feature on TV during the company’s early days. She played an onscreen character and was the manager of Awesome Kong.
When Cody moved to WWE, Brandi continued to make onscreen appearances from time to time. She accompanied Cody Rhodes to the ring at WrestleMania 40 and was celebrating with him in the ring after he dethroned Roman Reigns to finish his story. However, she has not been seen on TV since then, leaving fans to wonder what happened to her. Cody has finally opened up on the possibility of Brandi Rhodes making more WWE appearances in the future.
Cody Rhodes admits there have been talks about Brandi Rhodes making more WWE appearances
During an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Cody Rhodes admitted that there have been semi-serious talks about Brandi Rhodes returning for WWE appearances here and there. He also revealed how adding real elements from his life made for great television as things could get too real. However, the American Nightmare is also fine with Brandi wanting to do her own thing.
“I think people talk about it — I’d say semi-serious talks about her being brought back for things here and there. I mean, we saw Mama Rhodes get included in things from time to time. When you bring real elements of your life and my character’s rooted in a real person, then that always makes for great television and sometimes it can get a little too real. I think Brandi (Rhodes) grew up very fast because of the nature of her experience in the wrestling business, and I always try to make those moments for her when she does come back, a reminder of how great the wrestling fans can be, because it’s easy to forget how wonderful they can be and really, the last time we saw her was WrestleMania 40. Just to be able to walk out there with me and own it before the company goes into the stratosphere… I certainly wouldn’t be opposed if she ever wanted to do something on her own or break into it…” [H/T Fightful]
It remains to be seen if Brandi Rhodes will ever return to WWE TV in the future.
