BREAKING: Ex-AEW Star’s WWE Return Officially Confirmed On RAW
A former WWE star has officially returned to the company after a four-year stint in AEW.
Big Cass joined the Stamford-based company in 2011, where he had a seven-year run between developmental and the main roster. However, he was released from his contract in 2018. The 39-year-old later claimed depression, anxiety, and alcohol addiction led to his firing from WWE.
Following his departure, Big Cass competed in other promotions before joining AEW four years ago, wrestling under the name Big Bill. During his four-year run, he held the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Ricky Starks, who has now joined WWE as well.
Big Cass’ WWE Return Confirmed Tonight On RAW
After dropping a teaser during last week’s Monday Night RAW, in which they briefly showed his face, WWE confirmed Big Cass’ comeback on tonight’s edition of the red brand with an extended video package that highlighted his struggles during his first run, ending with his release.
The video package ended with a message from the 39-year-old star and the date 8/3, seemingly confirming his comeback on the RAW after SummerSlam.
Even if you haven’t reached the top, you have no idea just how far you can fall.
For the second straight week, WWE showed another vignette for the return of Big Cass on August 3 — this time actually revealing him.
