A few months after her WWE return, Paige (fka Saraya) recalled how she felt while being in AEW.

Paige signed with All Elite Wrestling back in 2022 under the name ‘Saraya,’ after her previous WWE departure. She had a decent All Elite run, as she also held the AEW Women’s World Championship once. After being off TV for months, Saraya announced her departure from Tony Khan’s promotion last year.

Paige went on to make her blockbuster WWE return at WrestleMania 42 earlier this year and won the Women’s Tag Team titles along with Brie Bella. While she is currently a top star in the Stamford-based promotion, the former Divas Champion recalled her AEW run.

Speaking on The Nikki & Brie Show, Paige revealed that while she was in AEW, her heart wasn’t there, as she loves WWE:

Well, I did go to AEW and you guys, I did have a great time there, but my heart wasn’t in it. And I feel like you could see that in my performance when I was in the ring and my character. I’m a WWE girl, man. I love WWE.”

The former Divas Champion also refused to talk negatively about Tony Khan and AEW:

So yeah, I went there for a couple of years and, you know, we went our separate ways and it ended really, really great. I have nothing but love when it comes to AEW and Tony and stuff like that.” [h/t Ringside News]

Paige’s current WWE run could be her last run

Following her WWE return at WrestleMania 42, Paige admitted that she might not be wrestling after her current run, so she wants to enjoy:

I came in this time with a mindset where I just want to be happy and have fun, because I don’t think I’m going to be wrestling after this run. I want to just enjoy my time that I have here, embrace absolutely everything, just enjoy the journey. That’s all I care about.”

Paige also revealed that she wants to be a part of the women’s Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber matches before hanging it up:

But I do want to finally be able to be in the Royal Rumble that I got to not be a part of and do the Elimination Chambers and do all these stipulation matches that were not around.”

At Saturday Night’s Main Event recently, Paige and Brie Bella lost their WWE Women’s titles to Fatal Influence.
