3 WWE Stars Who Suffered Injuries At 7/18 Saturday Night’s Main Event

The July 18 edition of WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event took place live from Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York. The night saw many stars getting injured.

The first match of the night was Brie Bella and Paige defending the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship against Lainey Reid & Fallon Henley of The Fatal Influence. During the match, Henley was injured as she was seen bleeding from the mouth.

The third match of the night was Bayley vs. Lyra Valkyria in a singles bout. Early in the match, Lyra Valkyria got busted open when she received an elbow to the face and started profusely bleeding through the nose.

She probably suffered a broken nose, which could potentially sideline her from TV for a while. Despite the apparent injury, Lyra pulled through and completed the match, even earning herself a big victory over her veteran rival.

CM Punk Seemingly Injured At WWE SNME

After that, CM Punk and Cody Rhodes took on Sami Zayn and Gunther in the fourth bout of the night, which was also the main event match. It was a highly physical and chaotic bout. Gunther almost had the match won, but Nick Aldis showed up out of nowhere to cause a distraction.

In the final moments of the match, Gunther blasted Cody Rhodes with the Undisputed WWE Title and followed it up with a power bomb to cover him for the pinfall. But Nick pulled the referee out of the ring and attacked Gunther with the title.

CM Punk hit a GTS on Gunther and dragged Cody’s body over Gunther’s for a three-count pinfall. As Cody and CM Punk celebrated post-match, Punk could be seen bleeding from his face.

Fallon and Punk seemingly suffered only minor injuries, but Lyra’s nose injury appeared to be serious. Hopefully, it’s just a small scare.
