Lyra Valkyria Suffers Gruesome Injury At SNME, WWE Future In Doubt
Lyra Valkyria suffered a nasty injury during her match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
In the third match of the night, Lyra faced her former friend-turned-rival, Bayley, in a singles match. Early in the contest, she was busted open after seemingly suffering a broken nose. Veteran announcer Michael Cole, who was on commentary, highlighted Lyra’s injury.
Lyra Valkyria’s Potential Broken Nose Could Sideline Her From TV
A broken nose could sideline Lyra for a while, forcing her to miss TV time. However, she could also continue to appear on television weekly while wearing a protective face mask.
WWE Hall of Famer Trish Stratus and WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley previously did the same while recovering from broken noses.
Despite the apparent broken nose and heavy bleeding, Lyra continued the match and defeated Bayley. She secured the victory by putting her opponent to sleep with her sleeper hold.
Even after beating Bayley, Lyra wasn’t satisfied. She continued her attack on her former tag team partner at the ringside.
That just happened. 😱
