Nick Aldis Officially Replaced On WWE SmackDown

The General Manager of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis has officially been replaced after what happened last Friday.

Nick Aldis has been in a heated dynamic with Gunther for the past several weeks. After Night of Champions 2026, The Ring General had a little backstage altercation with Aldis, as he was furious at Aldis after losing in the main event.

Last Friday on SmackDown, Gunther and Nick Aldis crossed paths again, as The Ring General took out Aldis with a brutal attack in the ring. Following the events on Friday, Aldis will not be present as the General Manager this Friday on the blue brand.

The RAW General Manager, Adam Pearce took to the X social media platform to reveal that he is officially replacing the SmackDown GM, Nick Aldis, as the acting General Manager this Friday, due to Aldis being attacked by Gunther last Friday.

Nick Aldis got called out by a popular star

In an interview with ITR Wrestling, the current NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion, Silas Mason recently blasted Nick Aldis for his negative comments about NWA:

I’m not so much into the vertical hierarchy. I don’t place myself in the position of authority above anybody. I’m a leader. You know Nick Aldis is one of those guys. He likes to put himself above other people. And all he did was sh*t on the company when he left and now he’s holding a clipboard on some TV show.”

Silas Mason also offered respect for the RAW GM and former NWA Champion, Adam Pearce:

Adam Pearce, on the other hand, all he does is spend his time putting over the ten pounds of gold, saying exactly what I am saying about Harley Race, Lou Thesz, and all these other things. He helped train an entire generation of talents at NXT. Here’s the thing, I met him at Cauliflower Alley Club when I very first started. Great guy. He’s a super nice dude, so I have nothing but respect for him.”

However, Silas offered disrespect for the SmackDown GM, Nick Aldis:

I have nothing but disrespect for Nick Aldis. Nick Aldis is the guy, he’s trying to take food off of people’s plates with the stuff he said about how we’re a terrible company and you shouldn’t be watching us and so and so. If you can’t say anything nice don’t say anything at all. He had an opportunity to not say anything at all and he chose to be a prick. That shows what kind of guy he is.”

Meanwhile, Aldis is rumored to make his in-ring return to face Gunther.
