New WWE Champion Suddenly Crowned

A title has suddenly changed hands under the WWE umbrella.

The July 15 edition of EVOLVE saw Aaron Rourke put his WWE EVOLVE Championship on the line against Harlem Lewis. In the closing moments, Lewis countered Rourke’s Molly-Go-Round with a powerbomb and followed up with The Boom Slang to get the three-count.

Harlem Lewis has now become the third star to win the Men’s EVOLVE Title in the process. He ended Rourke’s 119-day reign with the gold, which included six successful title defenses. For those unaware, Jackson Drake was the inaugural EVOLVE Championship holder.

WWE makes a major move

Following his championship victory, the sports entertainment juggernaut has added Harlem Lewis to the roster page. His render and bio on the official website are as follows:

“The Harlem Lewis Violence World Tour is officially underway, and nobody is safe. “After clashing with Two-Time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T on LFG, Lewis entered Evolve with a chip on his shoulder ready to prove exactly who he is. “Lewis’ severe mean streak is only matched by his unparalleled work ethic, and his hard work culminated in capturing the Evolve Championship from Aaron Rourke in the summer of 2026.”

Lewis has mostly competed on NXT live events, EVOLVE, and LFG so far. He made his main roster debut by facing Odyssey Jones on the August 12, 2024, edition of Monday Night RAW, but suffered a crushing defeat.

Can Harlem Lewis rise through the ranks and become a prominent star in WWE in the foreseeable future? Only time will tell.
