AEW had a huge night of action planned for tonight, including two massive title defenses, as the show built up speed and momentum ahead of this month’s first-ever AEW Redemption.

The night began with Adam Copeland and Christian Cage fighting it out with Wheeler Yuta and Daniel Garcia of the Death Riders as they put their World Tag Team Championships on the line.

The next championship clash saw Kyle Fletcher defend his AEW International Championship for the first time since winning it off Konosuke Takeshita at Dynamite: Beach Break last week.

Kommander returns to AEW Dynamite tonight

He defended his title against Komander, who made his first Dynamite appearance in over a year as he rehabiliated from an injury. He recently competed at Collision last week before coming back to Dynamite tonight.

His last competed at Dynamite on June 4, 2025 before putting on an excellent showing tonight against Kyle Fletcher. He had the crowd on their feet throughout their match and came extremely close to winning the belt on multiple occasions.

He ultimately fell short as the Fletcher hit him with the Brainbuster to pick up the win and retain his title. He then proceeded to try and tear his mask away before Takeshita came out to stop him and turn his attention away.
