Chaos Unfurls On SmackDown Following Ex-WWE Champion’s Return To Attack CM Punk

Former WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther had a strange beginning to his night as he was informed about the massive stipulation in his upcoming match.

Adam Pearce announced that if Gunther and Sami Zayn win their SNME match tomorrow, they will be added to the Undisputed WWE Championship match at SummerSlam.

However, he wasn’t able to rake in his joy for long as Cody Rhodes came out and immediately started brawling with the Ring General.

He then challenged him to a singles match in the main event. Gunther utilized this opportunity to injure Rollins ahead of their crucial match tomorrow.

As Gunther ramped up the viciousness, CM Punk came out to Cody’s rescue and stayed in his corner, motivating him on. As Punk cheered Cody on, he was attacked by a former WWE Champion.

Sami Zayn returned to the show tonight and immediately attacked Punk. Cody saw the commotion and took him out with a suicide dive.

As he looked to head back into the ring, Zayn attacked Rhodes as well, causing the referee to throw the match. Following his attack, a massive brawl broke out between all four men, and they had to be separated by security ahead of their tag team clash at SNME tomorrow.
