Brock Lesnar’s Iconic WWE Theme Song Was Originally For Something Completely Different

The origins of Brock Lesnar’s WWE theme song have been revealed.

Brock Lesnar will go down in history as one of the greatest combat sports athletes of all time. When he first made his WWE debut, he was on a meteoric rise and quickly won the WWE Championship.

After dominating the ring for a few years, Lesnar left the WWE to join the UFC. Brock ended up finding success in the UFC and even won the World Title once. After a successful run in the UFC, Brock returned to the WWE. Lesnar is one of the most accomplished wrestlers in the world. He was also the first person to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Lesnar is known for being a destructive force in the ring. Apart from that, he is also known for having Paul Heyman by his side and his iconic theme song that was written by Jim Johnston. However, this iconic WWE theme was originally supposed to serve a different purpose.

Jim Johnston reveals the origins of Brock Lesnar’s WWE theme song

During a recent appearance on The False Face podcast, Jim Johnston revealed that he originally wrote Brock Lesnar’s theme song for the XFL. In fact, he admitted that he wrote the theme songs for all the teams in the XFL. When Lesnar showed up, Johnston suggested they use the theme song he wrote, and it seemed like the stars aligned perfectly.

“I wrote it for the XFL,” Johnston said. “I wrote themes for all those teams, and it was a great effort, but it just never sort of clicked. And when Brock showed up, it isn’t like I suggested that. It’s just like suddenly that music showed up for Brock. Sometimes the stars align.
