Top WWE Star Will Not Be A Part Of WWE SummerSlam 2026 – Reports
A former WWE Women’s Champion will reportedly not be on the card for SummerSlam 2026. The star in discussion is Alexa Bliss.
Alexa Bliss has been one of the top stars in the WWE’s Women’s division for years. She has also been a multi-time women’s and tag team champion during her tenure. Bliss has also been in a successful tag team with Charlotte Flair since last year.
Alexa Bliss last competed on an episode of SmackDown nearly two weeks ago, where she was defeated by Jade Cargill. After the match, Cargill brutally assaulted Alexa and attempted to break Bliss’ arm as well. Charlotte Flair tried to rescue Alexa but was held back by B Fab and Michin.
Following the brutal assault on her, Alexa Bliss also shared a picture of her injured elbow as well. Meanwhile, a new report from WrestleVotes revealed that Alexa is not planned for any match at SummerSlam next weekend:
She’s not planned for the match. For whatever reason. I haven’t heard her name included in SummerSlam plans.”
WrestleVotes further reported that Alexa’s injured elbow could be the reason why she’ll not be on the SummerSlam card:
She’s got the elbow. So that might be part of why she’s not part of SummerSlam.” [h/t Ringside News]

Ex-WWE Women’s Champion on her tag team with Charlotte Flair
The ex-WWE Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss, formed a tag team with Charlotte Flair and had one women’s tag title reign as well. In an interview last year, Alexa opened up on working with Charlotte as a team and how the team was formed backstage:
It’s been so fun working with Charlotte. This was something that came about very kind of randomly, we were talking to creative, and I kind of like threw it out there. I was like, well, what about- they gave me like a list of names of people who were kind of like in this little bubble of needing storyline, and I was like, ‘well, what about Charlotte?’”
We have this long past. They said Charlotte’s name, and I was like, yeah, we have a long past. I think it would be a fun dynamic to see what do these two people who don’t normally interact get along with other people or have success with other people look like getting stuck together and that’s been super fun.”
Only time will tell when Alexa Bliss will be back in action.
