The former WWE Women’s Champion, Alexa Bliss opened up after suffering a brutal assault on SmackDown this week.

Alexa Bliss has been with the WWE since 2013 and has been a multiple-time Women’s Champion and Women’s Tag Team Champion during her tenure. She made her return after a lengthy absence at Royal Rumble 2025 and later formed a tag team with Charlotte Flair, and their duo has been very beloved. Meanwhile, Alexa sustained a possible injury during SmackDown.

Alexa Bliss squared off against Jade Cargill in a singles encounter this week on SmackDown. After Jade got the win, she was going to attack Alexa alongside B-Fab and Michin before Charlotte Flair showed up to her rescue. However, Charlotte was taken out and was forced to watch as Cargill attempted to break Alexa’s arm with a steel chair in the middle of the ring.

Following a brutal assault and potential injury, Alexa Bliss shared pictures of her arm showing the after-effects of the steel chair assault. In her X social media post after SmackDown went off air, Bliss also expressed her disappointment with the following statement:

Welp this wasnt on my bingo card,” Alexa wrote.

Alexa Bliss announced a major retirement from WWE earlier this year

After her amazing run as The Goddess for years in the WWE, Alexa Bliss introduced her dark persona when she aligned with late Bray Wyatt back in 2020. However, Bliss seemingly abandoned her dark persona since her return last year.

In one of her Cameo videos in April, Alexa Bliss revealed that she has retired her ‘Dark Alexa’ persona out of respect for the late great Bray Wyatt:

About Dark Alexa. Look, while I love that it meant something to you, it meant so much to me as well. That chapter is very special and very close tied with my time with Bray, so out of respect to him and the Wyatts, I like to keep that version of myself exactly where it is. And for the time, it is retired and untouchable, but I can still be with it.”

Alexa also sent the following message for her fan in the clip:

On hard days, remember that even the strongest versions of ourselves are built through the darker moments. You’re allowed to feel it, but don’t let it stay there.”

It remains to be seen when Alexa Bliss will be back in action after suffering a brutal assault on her arm on SmackDown.
