A veteran is not pleased with what WWE CCO Triple H had to say.

The Game is a divisive figure in the pro wrestling world, and there has been growing frustration among fans with his booking decisions in the sports entertainment juggernaut.

Triple H recently sat down for an interview with Stephen A. Smith, where he discussed a variety of topics. During their chat, the  Hall of Famer addressed the criticism of the current WWE product, saying people “take it way too seriously,” instead of having fun.

Dave Meltzer noticed Triple H’s quotes floating around on X (formerly Twitter) and immediately called out WWE’s creative head. He stated that the 56-year-old star’s message to fans comes across as “desperate.”

Man, you should never talk like that. It comes across desperate. You’re saying quit having an opinion on our product. You want people to spend hundreds of dollars on tickets but also say don’t take it seriously. If they didn’t take it seriously, they sure aren’t spending that kind of money on tickets.

WWE legend Triple H comments on Nick Khan

During the same interview with Stephen A. Smith, Triple H heaped praise on WWE President Nick Khan. He stated that he has never been around a better businessman than Khan.

The Game further added that his and Nick Khan’s partnership is just “perfect.”

I’ve never been around a better businessman.

What is incredible out of him is not only his mind for the business, for, you know, rights fees and ratings and analyzing all those things, but he grew up a fan of this. He grew up a fan of boxing and combat sports, but especially of pro wrestling. He’s as deep a knowledge as anybody I’ve met out there. And he’s just straightforward. What you see is what you get. And man, I love working with him every day.

So, to me, he and I together, it’s like this perfect partnership of being able to do the business side, but this energy that we both feel and have and love for this business like nothing else.

It remains to be seen how Triple H and Nick Khan lead WWE in the years to come.
