Ever since Cody Rhodes jumped ship from AEW to WWE at WrestleMania 38, it opened the doors for many former AEW stars to sign with the Stamford-based promotion. WWE currently has many AEW stars on its roster.

Major stars like Jade Cargill, Ethan Page, Penta, and Paige, among others, made the jump from All Elite Wrestling. However, not all of them make it to the main roster directly.

Many former All Elite stars spent some time in NXT before making their debut on the main roster. One such star is former AEW Women’s World Champion, Blake Monroe.

Blake Monroe debuts on WWE SmackDown tonight

Formerly known as Mariah May during her time in AEW, Monroe was involved in a major feud with Toni Storm, which ended with Monroe becoming the AEW Women’s World Champion.

Since moving to WWE, she spent a few months in NXT before being called up to Friday Night SmackDown. After appearing only in vignettes for the last few weeks, she finally made her official WWE SmackDown debut.

She made her mark on the show by attacking former NXT Women’s Champion, Giulia. The Japanese-Italian wrestler was celebrating her win over Kiana James before Monroe attacked her from behind. She took her out with The Neutralizer to stand tall on her debut.
