Triple H Brutally Trolled By Ex-WWE Universal Champion
A former WWE Universal Champion has taken a nasty dig at Triple H.
Over the last year, the Stamford promotion’s Chief Content Officer has received flak for repetitive bookings and lackluster storylines.
Last year saw one of the worst ratings performances delivered by SmackDown, which resulted in the creative team’s shake-up and the departure of Brian “Road Dogg” James in March 2026.
Despite the changes made to the creative team as well as the roster, WWE continues to produce barely satisfactory storylines, according to critics, with Triple H at the helm.
The Game has previously called out his detractors, urging them to just be fans rather than critics.
Amid a poor showing, Triple H managed to find himself an admirer in Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
The American Nightmare recently spoke on The Ariel Helwani Show, where he praised his boss, calling him a revered booker in the wrestling business.
Rhodes seemingly hinted at being frustrated with the creative direction, but went on to praise Triple H.
If you want a job in the wrestling space, nobody has a harder job than Triple H right now. There has never been a booker in the history of the business that has been beloved and revered the entire time, nobody has a harder job and nobody can do it better than he can do it, and it’s obviously something that interests me too.
Braun Strowman Mocks Triple H By Highlighting WWE Ratings
Former WWE Universal Champion Braun Strowman was one of the big names released from the company during the May 2, 2025, release.
At the time, American journalist Bill Apter claimed that Strowman’s departure was due to his high salary, but there was a chance that he could return to the company.
Strowman has not returned, nor has he wrestled ever since. His last match was on the April 18, 2025, edition of SmackDown, where he teamed up with LA Knight to defeat Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa.
Since his release, the 42-year-old has been vocal about his time in the Stamford promotion, often calling out its higher-ups for favoring nepotism and other such practices.
Strowman has also found passion outside WWE and wrestling, as he now has his own TV show centered around food called Everything On The Menu with Braun Strowman.
Recently, he launched a production company in partnership with Magilla Entertainment and Nick Antonicelli.
Turns out, Braun Strowman stumbled upon Cody Rhodes’ praise of Triple H because he could not help himself from responding.
A post shared on X revealed Rhodes as saying that he believed there was no better booker in the company than Triple H.
Responding to the post, Strowman took a jab at his former boss while pointing out the company’s rating struggles.
He wrote, “Ratings say otherwise lol.”

Meanwhile, SmackDown shows are expected to return to 2 hours starting in July, which was a similar pattern followed by the company last year.
