SPOILER: Major WWE Champion Pinned Ahead Of Night Of Champions
A WWE Champion suffered a major setback ahead of their high-stakes title defense at Night of Champions.
The upcoming premium live event will take place on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where Tiffany Stratton will defend her Women’s United States Championship against Jade Cargill.
On June 23, WWE taped its SmackDown episode at the O2 Arena in London, which will air on June 26.
At the start of the show, former one-half of the Women’s Tag Team Champions, Alexa Bliss, spoke to Jackie Redmond as she provided an update on Charlotte Flair’s physical condition.
Last week, Flair was attacked by Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin backstage before her Queen of the Ring semi-finals match against Liv Morgan.
For most of the match, Morgan targeted Flair’s injured leg, even applying submissions to it. In the closing minutes, she applied another Half Boston Crab, forcing the 14-time Women’s Champion to tap out.
Speaking to Jackie Redmond, Alexa Bliss condemned Cargill’s cowardly attack and issued a challenge to her “minions,” B-Fab and Michin, while teaming up with Tiffany Stratton.
In the latter half of the match, Stratton attempted to hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever, but was taken out by Jade Cargill. It led to B-Fab hitting her finisher and pinning the Women’s US Champion for the win.
Stratton and Cargill last competed against each other in a singles match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in November 2025, where Cargill ended Stratton’s 301-day reign as the WWE Women’s Champion.
Jade Cargill Breaks Silence After Attacking Charlotte Flair On WWE SmackDown
Since her title loss to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42, Jade Cargill was intent on reclaiming the gold.
She received her rematch at Clash in Italy. In the closing minutes, B-Fab and Michin made their presence felt by the ringside, only for Charlotte Flair to neutralize them, costing Cargill the title in the process.
There was no way The Storm was letting the embarrassment slide, as she got her revenge on last week’s WWE SmackDown.
After attacking Flair, the 34-year-old took to X, addressing The Queen directly.

As of this moment, it is not known for how long Charlotte Flair will be out of action. Regardless, her absence gives Cargill enough time to clinch another title and return to the top of the women’s division.
