Tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown featured some extremely important matches, including two title matches and two semi-final clashes of both the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments.

Jey Uso and Je’Von Evans endured a thrilling encounter as they met in the semi-finals of the King of the Ring. Evans, who was fighting with injured ribs, gave it his all, but failed to advance to Night of Champions.

Main Event Jey Uso got the better of him and made his way to the final to set up a clash with Oba Femi. The main event had a similar story as the Women’s World Champion, Liv Morgan, faced Charlotte Flair.

Flair was confronted by Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin before she went out for her match, and their interaction didn’t go well for the Queen. The trio attacked her from behind and injured her left knee, causing her to limp for most of the match.

Charlotte Flair put on an incredibly brave display on WWE SmackDown

SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis and the rest of the WWE officials asked her not to compete, but Flair soldiered on and competed in the match. Morgan took advantage easily by targeting Flair’s already injured leg.

She attacked the leg to make a comeback every time Charlotte tried to mount a comeback, making it extremely difficult for Flair to hold control for large parts of the match.

Liv had Flair hung upside down on the corner turnbuckle and assaulted her left knee, but the Queen came back into the match with a Natural Selection from the top rope. She then had Liv locked in the Figure-four leg lock, but the champion made her way to the ropes.

Liv then applied the single-legged Boston Crab on the injured leg and did further damage to her leg. As she recovered on the outside, the medical team asked Flair once again if she wanted the match to be called off, but she refused.

Morgan took advantage of this time to recover and hit an ObLIVion on Flair, but she kicked out at two. Morgan then applied the Boston Crab once again, causing Flair to tap out in pain. Liv Morgan will now face IYO SKY at Night of Champions next week in the final of the Queen of the Ring.
