Big Title Change Expected At WWE Night Of Champions
A major WWE star is tipped to win a top championship for the first time in their career at Night of Champions.
Tiffany Stratton and Jade Cargill had a heated feud on SmackDown over the WWE Women’s Championship last year. The Storm eventually ended Tiffy Time’s title reign at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
Over the past few weeks, Stratton and Cargill’s rivalry reignited on the blue brand. The Storm, who lost the WWE Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 42, will now challenge the 27-year-old for the Women’s United States Championship this Saturday at Night of Champions in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
WWE Analyst Expects Jade Cargill To Dethrone Tiffany Stratton At Night of Champions
On the latest episode of his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE analyst Sam Roberts gave his predictions for the upcoming Night of Champions premium live events.
The 42-year-old tipped Jade Cargill to beat Tiffany Stratton to capture the Women’s United States Championship in the Saudi capital. He claimed that The Storm would benefit creatively from winning that title for the first time in her career.
Tiffany Stratton versus Jade Cargill. I think that that could be a title change. I think that Tiffany versus Jade Cargill could definitely be a title change. I think Jade Cargill would benefit from being a U.S. Champion. I think Rhea Ripley is gonna move on from Jade Cargill after this.
So, I think that the idea of getting the United States Championship as the WWE Women’s Championship is kind of out of reach puts Jade Cargill in a new category, allows her to have new stories with new people, allows her to defend a championship and be a champion, and I think will elevate the Women’s United States Championship significantly because of the way she is treated and the superstar that she looks like.
And then you can, now you’re talking about doing a SummerSlam match between Charlotte and Jade Cargill for a championship, United States Women’s Championship, which I think would be really really good. For me, I’m putting the title on Jade Cargill. [58:21 onwards]
