Backstage Fight Breaks Out At WWE NXT Great American Bash
Chaos erupted backstage at NXT Great American Bash after two WWE stars came to blows.
Tatum Paxley challenged Zaria for the NXT Women’s North American Championship tonight at Great American Bash. Despite her best efforts, the 29-year-old failed to dethrone the Australian champion.
Later on the show, Paxley spoke to Emily Agard in a backstage interview. The 29-year-old was clearly devastated and admitted to feeling empty, sad, and scared.
When I won that title, that was the first time that I did something for myself, not for friends, not to cure my loneliness or anything. It was for me and the entire NXT Universe, and now without it, I feel empty, sad, I just let everybody down. And now, without it, I feel scared.
Kelani Jordan Confronts Tatum Paxley At WWE NXT Great American Bash
The former NXT Women’s Champion was interrupted by Kelani Jordan, who accused her of portraying herself as a victim despite being given several opportunities and fumbling them.
Jordan also voiced her frustration over being overlooked, pointing out that she had spent three years in NXT without receiving a shot at the NXT Women’s Title.
You’ve got to be kidding me. Tatum, what are you crying about? You’ve had so many opportunities, and you choked. Get over it. I outlasted five other women in a ladder match to become the first-ever Women’s North American Champion. I’ve been here for three years and I’m better than all of y’all, and I still never got a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship. I’m constantly overlooked for people like you and you don’t see me crying. Meanwhile, you get chance after chance and you fumble it. Yeah, you always find a way to make yourself a victim. It’s actually pathetic.
The confrontation quickly erupted into a brawl after Paxley threw the first punch, forcing security to intervene and separate the two WWE star.
